Testing Features


Hello, I've been testing ren'py out and wanted to show some progress and things I've been trying.

1. Battles - Made the battles a bit card based, which is on theme since there's a lot of card looking things in the ui. How it works is still in the drawing board at the moment so the battles that do show in next builds won't be completable battles, same as previous builds. But the game's still primarily about dating and romancing kobolds so this will probably not be developed and finetuned for a long time, or even scrapped.

2. Light Dungeon Crawl - Unsure about dungeon crawling in-game since I have to draw everything from backgrounds to monsters but it gives more use to the sd kobolds I drew for the map ui. At the very least if I scrap dungeon crawling I can use the code for the player to be able to roam around the bar where the mixer event happens and talk to more characters. Maybe add more hangouts like a coffeeshop.

3. Menu UI - Got the menu working. The stats window's there as well as other tabs. The menu is also used a lot during socializing.

At the moment I'm still testing out what I can do in ren'py so expect a lot of things to be changed or dropped over time. Thanks.
